My grandmother and mother created wedding cakes for over 40 years in South Africa. When I watched my mom create our daughters wedding cake in 1996, I decided it was time to jump in on the family tradition and learn how to design and create sugar flowers and put together elegant wedding cakes. I drew on the natural artistic ability that ran in our family and soon was creating beautiful sugar roses, delicate lily of the valley, and exquisite mini orchids.

Every bride has probably at sometime dreamed of her wedding day and how everything would be decorated and of course, the yummiest part, your wedding cake! The wedding cake will be a focal point of your reception and will be remembered long after your celebration day has come to a close. You should put as much thought and planning into your cake as you do for all aspects of your wedding day. I recommend a tasting and design appointment at least six months before your wedding.

At Vermont Cake Studio our goal is to create a delicious and unique work of art that will be the centerpiece of your celebration. You won’t find any artificial ingredients in our cakes just Vermont butter, eggs, cream, European chocolate and fresh fruit.
