This magnificent Richmond, Virginia bed and breakfast located in the Museum District and the Monument Avenue Historic District was built in 1916, five years before Monument Avenue was paved west of the Boulevard and thirteen years before the Maury Monument it overlooks was unveiled.

Lovingly preserved in its original state by previous owners, we are only the fourth family to enjoy this remarkable architectural monument, and we are delighted to share it with you as our guest. The baths feature many original fixtures, but also have updated 21st century features such as heated tile floors and new showers.

Built in 1922 by Judge Rhea, our stately brick house welcomes you with its spacious two-story porch. Inside, warm yellow walls and dark oak floors lead you through our spacious common rooms - a cozy front parlor, cheerful dining room with crystal chandelier, library with walls of books - all with period architectural details.
