Rucker Place is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. According to officials with the Birmingham Historical Society, Rucker Place is the only existing example of shingle-style architecture in Birmingham. Indeed, it may be the only one of its type ever built in the city.

The Hill Event Center, adjacent to the Alabama Theatre, was completed in the summer of 2008. It features two rooms, the banquet hall and the loft.

The banquet hall is highlighted by 85 year old chandeliers from the grand ballroom of the original Tutwiler Hotel in Birmingham.

The loft overlooks the Alabama Theatre marquee and 3rd Avenue.

Originally built in 1914 Woodrow Hall offers a large foyer and beautiful banquet hall with exposed brick, high ceilings with huge wooden beams as well as modern amenities such as plasma screen TV, LCD projector and modern lighting.

This remarkable reception venue is full of unique architecture, character and warmth. It offers a timeless location for parties, reunions, corporate events and training programs. In addition, Woodrow Hall has a special VIP room for bridal parties or event sponsors.
