In 2010 we started A Cupcake Paradise with a passion for food and a desire to
provide the best tasting cupcakes in the valley. We started with a few
homemade creations and used our friends and family as testers, we then took
the feedback to create what we believe to be the best.

Amaru Confections opened its doors in Boise, Idaho in 2006 as a true specialty cake and dessert company, creating one-of-a-kind confections for weddings, private parties, birthdays, baby showers, corporate events and other special occasions. We’re not your typical retail bakery, so at Amaru Confections you won’t find a traditional store front for drop-in purchases. We’ve chosen to work with each customer on an “appointment only” basis to ensure that every dessert we help you design is specialized and unique to your event.

Cakes by Jeanette began in 1968 as I was “nominated and elected” by my children to be the official baker for their birthdays, Little League teams, baseball teams, volleyball teams and so forth. Anniversaries, baby showers, retirements and graduations and many other cake categories began to round out the offerings. This once loved hobby, quickly became a primary source of income as quality cakes and “word of mouth” spread my reputation. Now, 43 years later the businss has stretched ahead. I credit much of my success from taking classes offered by the major suppliers in the baking industry as well as many hours as an apprentice and friend to one of California’s premier bakers.

Our Boise bakery has a golden rule for delicious wedding cakes - always use the freshest and highest quality scratch ingredients available. Each wedding cake tier has four layers of cake and three layers of filling. Our buttercream is a perfect balance of Italian meringue and sweet cream butter.
