Wedding Planning Stress

For many couples in the time between engagement and the actual wedding stress increases exponentially. In fact, this is actually the case for most weddings - if this is happening for you, then don't take it personally as a sign!

Tough decisions and compromises won't be made overnight. But you can spend most of your time without a worry on your mind. What some people do is take a short vacation before the wedding (after everything is mostly organized and in place), to relax and be able to come back to the midst of it all refreshed. This is known as a pre-moon. Even just spending a few long weekends driving to some not too distant get away can enable someone to maintain a good head on one's shoulders.

If that's not an option, or even to supplement that, there are other things you can do to take off the stress. Keeping yourself busy with things besides wedding planning, such as exercise or yoga can be beneficial in more way than one. Looking better for the wedding is a plus, but the relaxation these methods may provide can prove to be quite effective among all the chaos going on prior to the wedding.

When spending time with family and friends, it may help to set times for wedding planning, and outside of those times no one even mentions the subject. On top of that, your bridesmaids should always be willing to go to a bar for a drink with you (or if you're the groom then the groomsmen) and have a good time with no worries for the evening. Just be responsible, and don't let it get to you!
